Jackie + Dason Bridals - with Team Roping!

If you want to hear how my weekend started out with Jackie and Dason, check out the last blog post. Friday, we started at the St. George temple for the First Look. Jackie’s mom was there helping and Allie was there as a videographer. We (of course) had to do some teaser shots with Dason, so he had to pose knowing that his stunning bride was right behind him. When he finally turned around to see her his smile was huge!! The light and landscaping was so gorgeous at the temple, and we ended up spending longer there than we thought we would. Jackie’s mom went and got us Swig while we finished at the temple (because it was nearly 90˚ for a girl who is used to 60˚…and who doesn’t love Swig), then we all ran over to Snow Canyon. We got down to the perfect spot and were chasing the light to the sand dunes. The sun was going down, but we ended up getting all of our perfect shots (of course with the help of Off Camera Flash lighting). After we ate dinner at Costa Vida (because once again, who doesn’t love Costa Vida), we decided to head over to the Dixie Rock to get some unique star shots. We set up with lights and had some fun getting different shots under the stars. We even had Dason “shooting hoops”, had Jackie and Dason do a “jump ball”, and created some James Bond-looking shots.

The following day, we went and saddled up some horses and had some fun. I had found a wedding dress with a loose enough skirt to ride a horse. Jackie (being a wildly talented cowgirl) put it on and TEAM ROPED IN A WEDDING DRESS! (Are you talented enough to do your sport in a wedding dress??) Roping was definitely Dason’s favorite part of the weekend 😉.  I kneeled and even laid down in the dirt (basically just trusting them to look great, rope, and not run over me all at the same time), and we ended up with some great shots.
