JayLynn + Justin Proposal

I got to plan out part of my sisters engagement with her soon-to-be-fiancé, Justin. JayLynn is a cowgirl, so he wanted to propose in a barn. We talked to one of our amazing friends in Northern Utah and used their barn as a setup. Justin bought some cute western decorations and set up the barn with hay bales and pictures they had taken together. We had an aisle made of lights and rose petals that was hidden by a maze of large hay bales. I called JayLynn and told her my friend was dropping off a horse there so a vet could visit him and asked her to go take care of him for me before her fancy date with her boyfriend. When they arrived, Justin stayed behind in the car so he could go in the back door and my friend met JayLynn and asked her to come look at his setup in the barn. Her surprised reaction was priceless! (So was the pretend reaction of my husband when I asked him to go to the spot so I could make sure the lighting and positioning was right to capture her reaction. He did a great “happy and surprised” face.)
